What's the point?
I guess thats what you call BLING!? But seriosly, I remember when I was a kid. We'd load up the back seat of the '71 Impala and take it up a pretty nasty fire road to some shooting.
Is that the design team standing around looking sheepish?
I understand everything now
I think the phrase "Are they stupid or what" is an appropriate caption.
my dad's friend used to have a dodgeilack. Dodge truck frame (4x4 lifted) and a cadilac body...he says that thing was pretty killer on the trails haha
I just saw an el camino with 33" mud terrains last night.....AWESEOM!!!!!!!!!
Ticket time............no mud flasps.....
Bet those came off a hummer!
How can you work the "Flintstone's" brakes when your feet can't even reach the pavement?
I think the "why?" would be that if the car was dropped and the wheelwells were tubbed to fit such giant-ass-****ing-wheels, then you'd be seeing rubber out the top of the hood/fenders.
I saw an El Camino on some sort of a 4x4 chassis up on the Rubicon one time. The thing did real well, actually. THere is another guy near here with a VW Beetle on a jeep chassis. It looked very well done and had clearence for 33s.
Like they say, with enough time and money, you can do anything you want.
Don't worry; they don't understand your Cruiser either...
i dont know why, but i kinda like it.
theres a 56 nomad running around here once in a while thats on a chevy 4x4 frame thats pretty nice, built by some biker guys.
Put some normal wheels and tires on it and I'd take it on a trail. Killer ground clearance!
I kind of like it!
Same as these Holden Overlander's. Its a Tasmanian conversion and was sold fitted to new vehicles in GM dealerships in oz in 77-78.
The 4wd drive was a dual ratio part time set up and worked well.
I think they made about 400 fro memory.
Last time I saw one it put all the Cruiser's and Patrols to shame on a long steep climb on a sand dune.
They weigh about a 1000lbs less than cruiser and were fitted with 308 ci holden V8.
Overlander stopped producing them because GM kept altering designs specs.
I'll bet you a c-note = that impala will be loaded up with some boys
doing some "fire road" shooting!
can ya dig it???
But who can forget this awesome Neon...
Ah people do it cause its unique and fun. Sure not my cup of tea.... But maybe they don't like 60 series cruisers.... Useless sure, but turns heads.
Play the game in a mall when waiting for the to come out of the stores.... see someone strange try to figure out if they are unique or freak. Can't be both.
