Cargo area hand grips?

The current headliner in my 60 is peeling off at this moment. Upon inspecting the cargo area, there appears to be empty holes that look like they could accommodate another set of handle grips. From a visual inspection, they do not look to have the length of the other hand grips in the front.

Any information on this? Perhaps a foreign model had 3rd row seats?

Yes it is possible to mount extra grips. But you need to mount a extra bracket .It is like you said, the distance is shorter. In the highroofs there is a bracket mounted from the factory. I took that one and mounted it in my low roof. And at the same time it provided a mounting position for my safety rack.

Here you see the complete installation,it can be moved forward a backward depending on the backseat is folded down or not.

It is not a separate part in the EPC. It is mounted on the panel from factory. The only chance to find them is from a parted out high-roof.
We had/have them in Sweden (GX spec) with 3rd row.Do not even think the Jap high roofs had them.Thinking about JDM import to US.
The bracket can be made easy from a piece of 2/3mm plate.Just need to measure and adjust while you in there.
    I mounted mine while i mounted slider-windows.

Good news !!! I found the part number 61719-90A00. But i doubt it is possible to order.
