Began the process of rebuilding my carburetor on my ‘79 FJ40. As I was overlooking the carburetor, I discovered that their is a screw missing. Need help identifying the screw and where to obtain one to replace it.

I’ve rebuilt my carb but I know nothing...I just followed Pin’s excellent videos. I ‘think’ you are missing a bolt...not a screw. And remember, that’s a ‘think’ I really do not know. But I did take a bunch of pictures, maybe one will help.

The OPs 79 carb is missing much more than just the pivot bolt. Mcvicker's carb shows the missing belcrank, pushrod, spring, etc.

Bottom line, the choke opener is not needed, so just remove the little piece that remains on the end of the vacuum pullrod and get on with the build.
