Hey all,

I’m thinking about upgrading my single barrel carburetor to one off a fj60 2f. I’ve got a ~1969 f155 in my 1971 fj40. Probably add Pertronix to that to get rid of the points.

How hard is it to switch the linkage?
Is it worth it?
Anyone done this before?

The single barrel carbs have different intake manifolds, and those manifolds bolt on to certain 'siamese' heads, but I thought there was a production-transition phase in that year?

Well, from my neck of the woods comes ebay #264808304851 (an upgraded Holley 350 conversion), and ebay #254230775419 (a TBI fuel injection conversion).
Either kit includes a new throttle cable, much upgraded over a stock Landcruiser cable. Either kit includes a complete set of installation instructions, including instruction on using the new cable- - -easy deal. You can use Pertronix with the Holley conversion, but you'd need a different distributor choice with the TBI conversion, per our instruction sheet.
