Good afternoon y’all!

I‘ve been having issues with what I believe is carb flooding. I’ve barely realized that my carb fan doesn’t turn on and not sure that it’s connected. Might this be a possibility for the flooding? I live in Austin and it’s hot as hell!

Is your carb fan sensor still on it’s little bracket under the intake manifold?

Not to hi-jack, but isn't the carb fan specifically designed for use with the stocker carb? Does it still have an effective use with other carbs? Asking for a friend.

Getting the Carb Fan working will prolly make little to no difference with the poor desmog you've got. Where does that fuel line run? Looks like next to exhaust ??

Carb fan was designed for the stock carb but it’s operation wont hurt an aftermarket carb in the hot start realm....it just might not be as effective.

You could plug the sender back in and see if it runs the fan after you shut down the engine. You can also jump power and ground to the motor to make sure it works.

Hi, Have you hooked up the fan straight to the battery to see if it works? Mike

It's probably an issue with that carburetor.
Try holding the gas pedal 3/4 of the way down and don't pump it when starting a hot engine
