Carb Coolinng Fan Problem (1 Viewer)

Hello all. Am seeking help on my carb cooling fan on a 83 FJ60. It is getting harder and harder to start when it is hot, and will miss real bad under load at times. I realized the carb fan quit working, I used to hear it run always after turning off the motor. Does anyone know how to test the fan or if it is connected to a fuse? Does the fan function while th truck is being driven?

The usual culprit is a broken wire between the sensor and the wiring harness. The sensor is attached to the exhaust manifold just to the rear, under the carb. The fan does not run when the engine is running.

And there is a fuse.

On my 40, it is a 5 amp fuse, conveniently not located in the fuse box, but behind my fresh air duct...
