Looking for the mounting bracket and sensor for a 9/77 and newer FJ40 carb cooling fan temperature sensor.

Looks like that is it - but I am not sure how/where it mounts or what the mount is supposed to look like, since mine is blank.

77 model year only the Cali spec 40s had carb cooling fans and they were the big ones in the front corner of the engine bay. The sensor @pardion shows is the one for this larger cooling fan. Yours being a 9/77 should make it a 78 model year where Fed spec got the fender/wheel well mounted cooling fan. Pic of your cooling fan would help verify.

Thank you. Mine is a January/1978 model and the carb cooling fan is the black snail with a curved snorkel looking device that mounts to the cowl grill on the driver side under the brake mast cylinder, where years previous the washer bottle was, I can snap a pic tomorrow.

Here is a pic from my 1/78 40 so you can see where it mounts. Sounds like we have the same carb cooler. I haven’t fully decided if I’m going fuel injection yet so this isn’t for sale quite yet.

do u have a 2 wire thermo Carb fan sensor plug on your drivers side inner fender

or

a single wire type connector ?

i see both types of used ones above

i have in-stock NEW ones , both single and double wires versions

i have the green 1 or 2 pin connectors set up , single or Dual wire,

wrapped in fire-proof loom , and a solid brass ring terminals on end to secure to the thermo. sensor on intake 2 bolt bracket

in other words , the small sub harness itself , ALL NEW toyota genuine parts

i do Not have 2 bolt bracket or the thermo heat sensor .........sorry
