Well...you know I have bitched about the balance issues (or lack of) with my MT/Rs...well I have to take it all back. After getting my OME suspension kit installed...low and behold the shaky steering wheel (that so seemed like imbalanced tires) was gone. And so were the original OEM shocks: GONE.

Whowuddathunk?

Sorry Goodyear

I'm in the same place right now. Got the shakes and I'm sure it is the worn shocks and possibly tired springs? Not sure if the springs would be needing replacement at only 80,000 mi. but an upgrade is certainly in order.

Also pretty sure the shakes are not the wheel bearings so I'll just repack them and not replace them unless they are obviously worn.

BTW, where are the pics of the finished install???

Alrightalready :)

So the new springs are shorter?
Unsprung, they are thicker though, there is probably less compression than the stock spring, leaving a taller ride height.

Correct...the new springs are shorter with larger diameter "wire". Slee says there is actually more usable travel with the new 865 springs...
