Canopy fitment 1982/1986???? (1 Viewer)

I own a 1982 toyota longbed 4x4 and found a toipper that came off a 1986 toyota 2wd longbed, are these beds the same length and width?? TIA, L

My assumption is that yes, it will fit, but why don’t you post your bed dimensions and someone else can post theirs?

I don’t have either so I can’t help. Just make sure the truck the cap is coming off is a single cab. I’ve bought 4 different toppers for my 1980 and none of them have fit right at the cab. Also the bed rails of the first gens make it so you can’t use standard clamps to mount the topper. You’ll have to drill the bed rails, or add some other home brew mounting solution.

It's not that people are unwilling to help, but don't you own a FSM for your truck? The dimensions are in there. Also, a easy internet search yielded this website.

Good news, it fits!!!! I had to modify the rear door to fit the gate but it's on. Thank you for your input. I had a challenge finding the dimensions for the new toyota longbeds. Well it's on now!!!!
