we've all been busting our humps in the shop to get Monica ready for the race next Friday. Haven't had a ton of time to update this thread. Our competition this year is a G-Wagon. We're going to see who can get to Nordstrom's and back the fastest. ARB hooked us up with some new Solis lights (1st and 2nd pics)Huge improvement over the INTENSITY LEDs (3rd pic and didn't know that was possible). I'll be behind the wheel from about 3am to sunrise (if all goes well) and I'm stoked to try them out in the real world.
We did our typical test session last week and it was the best we've ever had. She handled great right off the trailer. @cruiseroutfit and rallied her through some legit whoops before using the rest of the daylight to give some of our chase crew rides around the test lap.

Monica has finished the race in 1:22:16 (Days:Hours:Minutes)!
The only other vehicle in the class is not projected to finish for another 7 hours or so, is currently shown doing 0.0mph, and "Off Course" if I understand the Leaderboard correctly.
So... I think... WE WON THE CLASS!!!

Yep. 8103 car went off course just before RM 700 around 4:30AM (MDT). They doubled-back a bit and just high-tailed back via highways. Gonna be a DNF. Too bad for them. Hopefully we'll get some story on why from the Canguro Team. They did say last night that the 8103 car was the last operating vehicle left out on the course and most likely were fighting to keep the officials from shutting down the check points.
But congrats to the Canguro Team for another successful B1K completion! --and another first place finish! Sounds like it was a brutal course.

Spent the week chasing with the Canguro team. It was a brutal course and took longer than expected but we did make the finish and beat the G-wagon. Monica did amazing with very little drama!
Glad that we settled the Land Cruiser vs G-wagon debate!
In all seriousness the 8103 is a great group of people and the guy is from Moab and totally legit. We were bummed that they didn’t finish.
