don't know if this is a repost as i've been away a bit but these shots of canadian soldiers in combat in afghanistan are fairly interesting to me. I guess americans are used to seeing this but I don't think I've ever in my life seen shots like this of canadians. apparently this is an american reporter who embedded with them. I've never seen anything from a canadian reporter like this.

interesting how calm they seem to be and how they advance when attacked instead of hitting the dirt. Not sure I could be. I thank them for their service.

I've never been in battle, so I'm reserving judgment until the bullets are flying in my direction.

I'm proud of our guys and gals out there...

Like Stone said , until you have been in their boots i would not talk too much. I have been in there boots in the same country.

If you have been there and do not duck and not shoot your best then you are a good man. When sand is flying up past my face from where rounds are flying, i tend not to shoot my best, like when i am at a rifle range.

Even the last time i was over there we were training with the Afghan's. I will not go into detail about some things over there, but i would never trust them in a firefight either.

    Good videos. Thanks for posting.

Interesting the age of our troops. They seem older than what I normally see in the USA videos. But I mostly only get US news shots from Iraq and what not. Its rare to see action of Canadian Troops on TV, We generally do not get that. But lately they have been show casing it more. Which is important, so we can see what they are going through.

    Thanks!!!

Canada is there because of 9/11. We have been there in some form since 2001.

Currently there is 2200 or more troops from Canada there.
