Can someone help me find out what engine this is?? (1 Viewer)

I know stupid question.....but.....i bought this 1982 60 and was told it was a 12HT engine(which i was pretty sure not true) but I thought it was a turbod 2H. Now im not so sure. Plus the thermostat housing looks like nothing ive seeen before. Anyone know what i bough?

Very interesting. Can't say I've seen one like that before. Will agree it's definitely not a 12H-T. Curious to see what others suggest.

Hmm no clue either. Not a 12ht and not a 2h either. I don't believe it's even a Toyota engine

It's a Cummins 6at. I knew I've seen one of those in a cruiser before.

Hey, thanks a ton for the help; at least now i know what im dealing with. Not exactly happy its not a Toyota diesel but better to know at least. Seems pretty hard to find much info. on these old diesels. Trying to track down a thermostat now and the Cummings dealership cant even find one for it. Guess that puts the thought of having a H55 tranny out the door now too......now to tack down what is actually under there. Guess the fun begins now, lol
