Can I swap my fuel evaporator for a different year? (1 Viewer)

So I am building up my 72 Cruiser. I spent a day or 2 building a great arm rest in the back of the middle fold down bench seat. just got it looking factory with a lock in box.
Now I just realized that my fuel evaporator bolts in there... I should have checked first.


Is it possible to install a different year evaporator in so i can keep my arm rest?

I have the same setup. It appears other year models have different configurations and less openings in the gas tank. I've seen some separators/evaporators but they have two less hoses.

Seems like a silly place to put a fuel separator..... Does anyone make an aftermarket one I can put somewhere else?

You might have to T one of your lines, but it would be easy to use a later model version if you also fit the later model cover/mount.
