I like this knob and wonder if it will fit my t-case shifter? Anyone have an inside diameter or thread pitch for these things. I bet you could adapt it............

Is that from a '60? I think the thread size is larger, but you can make anything work!

I don't think the thread pitch is any different. I used a knob from a mid-80's Nissan pickup on mine.
 
I think the whole shifter is bigger in diameter on a FJ60.
 
if its from a 60 it wont fit to big fill it full of epoxy or 1 of the 2 part metal fillers the drill and tap it to size .or not the best way but weld the top half of a 60 shifter to your 40 and screw it on good luck
 
OR you can use a late model 40 lever that takes the lager knob, yes the 40 and 60 are the same knob from 81 and up.
