can a duel battery TLC with stock alternator handle a 220amp draw? (1 Viewer)

just wondering, or would I need three battery;s and a mean green 200alternator

Depends on the duration. Winches can draw up to 500 amps, but it's typically for a short duration. For a single battery, a 220a draw is not a problem....as long as it's for a brief period of time.

it will be threw my stereo amps. so it will be pretty constant.

I guess I should upgrade at least to a second battery.

what is the stock alt rated at?

I believe the stock alternators are rated at 100 amps. However, in 2003, they changed the alternator to a "segment conductor type" whatever that means.
