conditions into the future

fire restrictions on the Sierra National Forest have been partially lifted.

08, are now cancelled. Fire restrictions still remain in effect
for High Hazard Areas (NFDR Area 528 and 529): Jerseydale, Miami, North Fork, Batterson,
Moun
tain Rest and Trimmer
.
Visitors to the Sierra National Forest are reminded that
the forest is still experiencing dry
conditions
and to practice safe fire use. Current fire restrictions, require campfires only be lit in
designated
areas
. Escaped campfires
continue to be a source of ignition for wildfires. Fire
permits, along with fire safety information can be obtained at no charge to the public at any
Forest Service Visitor Information Office.

Good to hear. We ended up next to kern river in June with nothing more than stove fires, it was a disaster of a trip.
