there is a used 85A Campbell Hausfield welder for sale locally. Flux core, no MIG. 110V
$75 with a spool of wire. Inexpensive, but no idea if that's a good price.
But is this junk or a disguised good brand like Miller etc?

from what i've read on here (see search:flipoff2: ), they seem to be junk.

for $50 it might be ok to mess around with imo

isn't this "outfitting" question anyways?

jeeeeesh, freakin newbies;)

outfitting? nah, don't plan to mount it in the back...
search? what's that? :D

I have the C&H 110V 105A flux/mig version and it has been a decent enough welder for what I have needed it for. I am ready to ugrade to 175A 230V soon, but it has been a tough decision since up to this point I haven't "needed" anything more than what I already have. I have welded .25" mild steel in two passes with good results. HTH.

Does CH make anything that is good quality? I'd stick to miller or lincoln for a welder.
