Okay, I worked the search and couldn’t find any info. Does anyone know what's the lift and duration of the stock cams? Also, has anyone had a stock head on a flow bench? If so, what were the flow numbers? Thank you for any info.

Best Regards
Shane

Only info I have found is degree’s opening and closing, you can figure into duration (225 degree's for both) , sorry no lift spec's,

Intake, Open 5 BTDC, Closed 40 ABDC.

Exhaust. Open 40 BBDC. Closed 5 ADTC.

There is this one phrase the hints to design of the ports, no hard data and no flow #’s.

2. Cylinder Head
_ An aluminum alloy cylinder head with excellent heat transmission characteristics is used. A cross–flow
intake and exhaust layout is used and 4 valves per cylinder are provided to improve intake and exhaust
efficiency.
_ The exhaust camshaft is driven by the intake camshaft gear and the valve angle has been narrowed to
18_20’ to achieve a more compact cylinder head. Pentroof combustion chambers, which permit the spark
plugs to be located in the center of the combustion chamber, are also used to improve combustion
efficiency.
_ Upright, small–diameter intake ports increase the mid–range torque of the engine.
_ Plastic region tightening is used for the cylinder head bolts for good axial tension.

Robbie has posted some info about some head tuning he has done, you may want to search.

Thanks Raven.

I will search for posts by Robbie and see what I can find.

Also, I forgot to mention that I was looking for info on the 1FZ.

the above is for the 1FZ

if you find anything else please report back.

I was sure it was, but I thought I better be clear for everyone. :)

I've been looking though old magazine articles and I found one from a issue of Modern Motor that shows the valve lift at 8.3mm or .332 inches. A little less then I thought, but for a 4 valve per cylinder engine it sounds about right.

I have not had it on a flow bench, I do not know the spec's except for when it opens and I think how much lift at certain degrees. It is in the book at work. I can maybe find the time tomorrow. I am pretty busy for the next couple of days. later robbie

I was hoping you would see the thread Robbie.

Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. No rush though, post it when you can.

Thank you in advance.
