I realize this thread is not dedicated to the Alpine X902D unit that is sold in AUS, but I figured I'd respond to the question here for posterity's sake in case anyone anxious for CarPlay considers this unit.
With a significant assist from @ericsarjeant, we gave integrating this the old college try into a 200 he is building for me, and we're fairly confident that it will not work on US spec 200's. There are some fussy trim details that are probably solvable with 3D printing or more parts from AUS, but its the HVAC controls run through the US spec head unit (as mentioned previously in this thread had I been paying attn
) that is the death nail to this integration. Fingers crossed that Beatsonic figures this out.
Any updates? I am in SoCal too...
