I have decided that when i get the funds to do so, i'm buying a 1980s fj40, BUT, i'm keeping it mostly stock. I decided to build the crap out of my 80 for wheelin' and bangin' on, but i want a nice shiney 40 to run around town in with the top off and doors off enjoying the cruise. :grinpimp: Some would say that's backasswards, but i don't think so. What say you?

gasser 80s are a dime a dozen, beat it up. 40s are a rare bird in good shape so you are definately on the right track...

In fact, I'd like to do the same thing. Just need to find the right 40.

I think the hardest part is going to be finding a good 1980's model FJ40. They are hard to find, and if you do find one they want a butt load of cash for them.

Andy, your 40 is allready waaaaaay past DD man!
