From my understanding, don't mess with the ecu, they check for any changes, no deleting vats stuff or evap, and have all the donor computers in place , ecu,bcm . I'm not 100% sure but you could probably remove the bcm and vats after you pass the reff as I don't think regular smog checks look for that.
