hey guys
i done a search but came up with nothing so here goes,

i just wanna know how hard it is to put 60 series diffs with cable lockers under my fj40?, will the cable lockers hold up to 38's? also will i need to change the length of the cables to run in my 40?

The rear cable will be long, the front may work without mods...



Will they hold up?


Not too many folks out here beating on that combination with bigger tires…

The rear cable will not be too long, it will be too short. The 60 cable terminate under the floor about the back of the seat and go through a complex linkage system. The 70 cables are a lot longer and go to the bottom of the dash.

38s and cable lockers, not an issue. The locking mechanism is up to much more than that. The shafts will fail long before the locker does.
