I have an HDJ81 (RHD auto) which means conveniently, there is a ~36mm hole (plugged with a rubber grommet) right through the bulkhead where a clutch master cylinder would have been fitted.

I had the idea of using a 36mm gland and 21mm convoluted tubing in which to run cables from the engine bay into the cabin which has the benefit of easily being able to add cables in the future when required.

My only concern is how close it is to the exhaust manifold and turbo.

The gland is made of nylon and has a working temp of 100c.
Would this stand the heat or will I need to shield it somehow?

Pretty hot there. Personally I'd run the tubing to the right as it exits the firewall, under or over the booster to the guard. I'd sleeve the section to the booster. Its probably ok given that there's unsheilded wires there from factory and the brake lines have no protection, but better to be safe.

You can get rolls of high-temp sleeving pretty easily

The nylon gland has been fine with regards heat damage for over a year now.
A simple reversible modification.

I also add a 20amp aux socket where the locker switch should be, chose this location as I hate blanking plates which are a constant reminder that you failed as a human and should have earned more/worked harder.
