I pulled the glove box lid on my 98LC100 everything went smooth up to installing the second filter. The lower unit was not dropping down far enough. A visual inspection with a flash light showed the bottom of the chamber full of pine needles and general all around mung, that had to be cleaned out. Then everything fit perfectly.
Looked like my glove box had been off once before. The middle screw on the upper plastic sheild was missing and the bottom screws on the lid had been run into the plastic underneath the nylon "nuts".
The car was a repo from Texas, maybe they had to get to the engine controller to replace it to get it to start for resale.

well, good thing you looked into this and now it's right. what's next on the list?

The diff drop that's been setting in the basement for 5 months. I just finished remodeling our kitchen. Now I get to do a little work on the cruiser. Well as soon as I get the bathroom painted.
