That's what I was thinking. Some minor baselining and a clear coat, it would be a real keeper.

I think it is more than minor maintenance. He basically said it is not drivable without getting the birfs serviced and a brake job. Maybe that was in the context of a longer road trip not sure. I strongly considered it but I figured at least $4-5k in mechanical work. And that's just the disclosed issues.

I saw that too and cringed. Bernie won't pay for those repairs buddy!!

I was thinking closer to $10k with other things that he probably hasn't mentioned like belts, radiator, valve cover gasket, PCV, plug wires, plugs, diff/tcase/trans fluids and filter, paint the hood, probably a little bit of interior stuff that needs fixing I would guess, and I bet it needs tires.
