This Land Cruiser was imported from Japan in July 2019. The EX is Toyota's highest trim level for the Prado line, and this particular unit is highly optioned. Despite a body-on-frame design making it highly capable off-road, the vehicle was marketed toward on-road use and is a very well-appointed and luxurious driver. The perfect mix of 70-series style and 80-series comfort. With under 50,000 miles on the legendary Toyota 2L-TE diesel engine this beauty is just getting broken in. The body is very straight, with just a few bumps and bruises that it has acquired over the years. Original brown over metallic beige paint shines beautifully. The interior is showroom fresh and features seating for 7 and a multitude of configurations. Full features and options are listed below.

Fully legal, licensed and registered through 9/2020. Sold with a clean South Dakota title and copies of all import documents. Located in California. Nationwide delivery available and free airport pickup for prospective buyers.

Actually, CARB certification is only possible for gas engines. In CA your only choices are to try and register it as a regular ou-of-state vehicle or to register it out of state.

Price drop - $14.5K!

just for reference:
in particular states:
"*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K. Additional information can be found on the California Air Resources Board website. "

I was about to get a diesel lc out of state (japanese import), and the guy said to register it in CA will cost around $10K more, regardless of engine type, so-you will have to pay extra to register it in the state. Because there are 49 states and then there is CAo_O:clap::smokin:

A lot of misinformation out there. Make sure to thoroughly do your own research and not take anyone for their word. CA only has provisions for modifications of gas-engined vehicles. From the DMV website - similar information can be obtained directly from the CARB. In reality, once it has been registered out of state many people have luck getting them registered in CA - although it is not guaranteed. The only other option is to register out of state - which is easy, but frowned upon by CHP. To each their own.

Vehicles Purchased From Out of the Country (Grey Market)

California has special requirements for vehicles imported from other countries (including Canada and Mexico). It may be very costly or impossible to modify these vehicles to meet California emission requirements and/or federal motor vehicle safety standards (FMVSS). No direct import vehicle less than two years old can be converted to California emission standards. Not all direct import vehicles over two years old can be converted to California emission standards and FMVSS. No motorcycle or diesel-powered vehicle can be converted to California emission standards. For details, contact the California Air Resources Board (ARB).
