I don't know if this considered tech but...does anyone know where i can get the bushings for my spare tire carrier? ('74 FJ40)

What side of the truck does your carrier mount on?


IIRC the earlier hinges were not servicable, only replaceable...


You should not have a problem finding a decent used hinge if that is the direction that you end up having to go.

Then I would say that you are going to need to source a hinge assembly, unless someone out here knows of other parts that can be made to work....


Replacing the hinge assembly would seem to be the easier route in any case.
