Hey guys posted this in the 60 section too...but figured bushings go in a 40 too..lol. I am replacing the bushings in my front leaf springs and I'm having a heck of a time tryin to get the old ones out..they are the stock bushings. What methods have you guys done to get your old ones out.

    Thanks, Chuck

I've heard that burning them helps. I've never tried it myself, though.

Or you could drill holes through the rubber all the way around. Six or seven holes and it should flex enough to come right out.

Thanks for the suggestions...hammer1 recommended taking a swazall and cuttin a few lines in it....took about 5 minutes to get them out...very sweet. I did try the heat at first and if I didn't smell like burning tires it was pretty close to it.
