Some pics of the venue: Ohrdruf castle, called 'Haus Mühlberg'. Actually only build in 1933-35, it is not a 'real' castle. It has always been a training center, used by however was in power back the decades. Today its an event and congress center. The park, now our camp area, is open to the public.

wow! they look so perfect
Well, a bit of distance and a bit of clouds cure a lot 😉.
I'd say there are 3 types of vehicles here:
- The bink blink new rigs. Many of those are kitted for overlanding, with hugh cabins, bought from any of the major outfitters for 150k++. Few new stock vehicles only.
- Older vehicles, well traveled. Usually having some stickers or decals from the countries visited on it. Pop-top campers or any other living space build in. Most have some well treaded scars on them..
- The hobby vehicles, which could be anything from a well restored truck to a real rat. Just to the preferences of the owner. Most J4 fall in this.
What you don't see here are rigs tuned for real hard offroad or trials.
