Some updates for my dormant thread.
Used the 100 for a big family trip. Drove a Troopy, 200, Hilux, and MRZR for a bit for work. Did a few more trips in the 100. Sold the 100. Now DD’ing a Honda Fit because California gas prices.
The 70 is making progress. Steering box rebuilt by Redhead.
PZ has been pulled and some interesting findings.
RHS motor mount off the frame needs to be repositioned by 2in-ish. LHS and trans crossmember are perfect.
Bellhousing for the current 151 to the PZ block is an issue. Seems to be two bolts with different patterns on this particular 151/HZ/PZ combo. Georg hasn’t seen this before but has a bellhousing on hand to sort the issue.
That’s the 1PZ plate on the back of the 1HZ

Correct BH from the Valley Hybrids stash.
Hoping to have the old girl up and running in the next 2 weeks or so.

Truck is home!
Washed up and just enjoying it. Runs like a tractor. 1HZ power is noticeable. I think worth it in the long run.
Installed the K9 and some Escape gear goodies I had. Slowly building a kill list for the upcoming winter project.

So good to see it back in your hands. I'm not heading to the far south this year... going up to your future neck of the woods for a spell in Dead Horse. I hope I can spend a few days in Anchorage at the end and maybe meet up with @coldtaco and you if you're there by then.

Get an oil pan heater. And other methods of keeping your oil burner warm during the cold months.

New fuel filter arrived from Cruiser Outfitters, with the sweet Jeeps are s*** sticker 
Background, driving around town Truck started to lose power and failed to hold idle. Called Georg to trouble shoot. Likely a fueling issue. So I start with replacing to (admittedly old af filter) and I may adjust the pump. More to come.

So that fueling issue… turns out I ran out of gas. To be fair, the float is rusted now and seized in the 3/4 position.
Replaced the fuel filter, scrubbed the crust/sludge off the float, flushed the tank, primed, fired right up.
Once I get to AK I’ll be ordering a LRA replacement tank and sorting through the fuel system.

Is that how/where the 70-series get together for the West is generally coordinated?

Yes, FB and to a certain extent the IG page. Two UT-Based Troopy owners set this one up and I believe will be continuing for the next few years. Discussion has Event notifications starting around September for a mid-Oct gathering. @Branwillith can answer that better.
Looked like a fun event. Wish I could have made it. Unfortunately, I was out of town. Love your 77
