Side-shot Sunday...

What motor are you running?

What motor are you running?
A 1UZ-FE Quad-Cam 32 Valve, mated to the stock 4 speed auto transmission. Toyota in a "Toyota". :)

Still has the 40 Series OEM bumper at the front, so I guess it MIGHT just still qualify as a 40. But just barely. :)

Yeah. Just barely. By the narrowest of margins.

VERY small pebbles, please. :D

And cheers. Thanks for the appreciation.

Two questions -
What does it weigh now ?
Will it turn those big rear meats ?

LOL .

Sarge
Honestly, I still haven't weighed it yet, for the simple reason that it's still a bit of an ongoing project. The interior remains, some minor body work remains, and some tweaks to the engine and suspension remain, too.

As for performance, it's VERY quick, indeed. Which I love about it. The 37 inch tyres at the rear are being driven by a 4.55 diff-gear ratio LSD (just about right for decent off-the-line acceleration, gear-shifts, and top speed). Pedal it, though, and the 1UZ will send those wheels spinning pretty freakishly quick.

I posted a video of it, somewhere earlier in this thread...

And JUST because this thread hasn't been bumped off the Forum for being discourteous to the iconic FJ40; another picture. From a recent car show where the "Twins" participated side-by-side.
