In the interest of building a better jeep, I want to use some of the FZJ80 axles I have laying around in a 2001 TJ. Has anyone mated an HF2A to a NV3550 or an AX15? As I have the transfer cases and axles sitting I thought it a fun build.

I'd double check the width on your axle's and compare them to the width of the Dana 30/35 you have in under your TJ. A set of 44's usually benefit a TJ perfectly depending on what you're trying to do with it.
