The Hooptie from Cracktown... build...

In 2004, a 1991 FJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser was taken into Toyota of Dallas as a trade-in. Luckily the Parts Manager was a club member and let the local club know the truck was going to be available.

I had no history on the FJ80. All we knew was the current condition and where it came from, which is how it got its nickname “The Hooptie from Cracktown.” Soo i bought it

The Cruiser had 36x14.5x15 donuts and the complete front/rear suspension lift was from 40 Rubber Ring Spacers!!! (I couldn't find any pics of the spacers) Splash in a little ghetto fabulous interior flavor and the Hooptie needed major re-work to get it back into Land Cruiser shape.

The initial rebuild was:
· ARB Lockers (Front and Rear)
· 4.88 Axle Gears
· OME Heavy Duty Suspension (Front and Rear)
· ARB Front Bumper
· TOOL Sliders (Club member made)
· Kaymar Rear Bumper /w Spare Tire Swing-out
· Safari Snorkle
· Bread Basket
· JDM Jesus Bar
· Paint & Body
Complete Maintenance on Motor and Axles

Time to pull the motor:
