Is raptor liner spray on by professionals only?

Absolutely not! It is something you can easily do in your garage or back yard. It's texture you really can't screw that up! It's all in the prep. Make sure that every square inch is sanded properly. If it's shiney or has shiney spots it's not going to stick. When you sand your rig down make sure every teeny tiny spot is sanded. It should look like a matte paint job!

As for the monstaliner, I had a buddy do his Jeep bumpers and fenders. It looked good for a couple years and started fading badly. Turned almost white. I'll see if I can get him to send me a picture without him feeling like I'm making fun of his Jeep. The raptor held up for 4 years on my 4runner, still looks good. So I know that stuff works!

@Beanzermin, this is an awesome rig. Great meeting you and your mom. See you in July!

Kevin, thank you. This build thread is quick and jumps over a lot of details. Simply because I never planned on doing one. I wish now that I would have. From here on out, I'll make sure the posts are a lot more in depth.

We had a great time on Sunday hanging out with our group. It was the first time I've ever been to an event and felt like I really connected with people that I can call friends. The Land Cruiser community at HIH8 is absolutely amazing. That event is the best one I have ever been to. It had nothing to do with the event. It was the people at the event that made it great! I'm glad I got to meet you and your wife! Can't wait to do it again!

Yea, just don’t forget the Slim Jim in 2019 ;)

I actually picked up an inflatable bag that slips between the window frame and the body to gain enough access to allow the slim jim inside without ripping the weather stripping!

Dissent bumpers are here! Sent most parts off for gloss black powdercoating! The wings I wanted to color match. So the insides were painted gloss black, the outsides were done in Raptor Liner to match the truck.
I also am painting, powdercoating, & installing my new Land Cruiser Grille from @kelly saad. I had a couple of brackets welded onto the back of the grille shell, to install a pair of Whelen yellow flashers behind the grille. People tell me they like the yellow flashers I have installed in the rear when we are going through dusty trails. They say it's easy to see me up ahead. So I'm hoping the guy in front of me might like to be able to see me as well.
Thankfully I had mixed 2 gallons of paint when I painted the truck a year ago. So I had leftover and it was the exact same color. Sometimes custom colors when written down and mixed again can be off.
I had painted the emblems to match the old Hutchinson wheels. So instead of changing the color of the rear emblem I decided to do the TOYOTA letters the same color as that. Plus they will match the projectors in the headlights.
This install also included the new rigid flood lights mounted flush in the bumper, reinstalled the Warn Zeon Platinum 12-S, relocated the winch head back on top of the bumper, & factor 55 1" fairlead. I originally wanted to try and remote mount the head. But there was no room in the engine bay and in case of emergency there really wasn't an easy place to get to to turn the winch on.
I am in love with yellow zinc hardware. I think it looks killer next to my green. So every chance I get I've been slowly swapping out stock bolts or bolts to install parts with yellow zinc. When I got my front bumper it had just plain old grade 8 bolts. So I went and got all new yellow zinc hardware to install it.

I have the Dissent rear bumper sitting in the garage. Just waiting to get a full weekend without plans to do that!

I'm impressed.

Panavise Dash Mount installed. Mounted the Delorme InReach cradle to it.

Got tired of spilling my drinks with the early style cup holders. So I found this center console on eBay. Took the cup holders apart and swapped lids. I just noticed that the bottom of the lids are different. The eBay one has cup indents. Mine does not. So I'll have to take them apart and swap the bottoms of the lids. And reinstall everything again...

I wasn’t sure about those grills, but that looks pretty nice. Definitely thinking about adding it to my list.

To be completely honest I wasn't a fan of the 1st gen grilles. When I saw the new style grilles at HIH8, I fell in love with them. They fit great and look even better! It is probably one of my favorite parts on my rig now. I personally think it was worth every penny! Plus it helps a very small business in the 100 series community!

Did you simply peel the chrome off the shifter surround?

No the chrome came on the surround I bought on eBay. The one only thing I used off that surround was the cup holder.

But looking at the chrome one it looks like the chrome would peel off with a little work and would leave a nice black plastic!

Were your headlights a custom one off job from HIDprojectors?

Yes they were. I bought the Depo headlights from @ranma21. Sent them to HIDProjectors along with a spray can of grey paint to match the hutchinson wheels. He built them and sent them back.

It doesn't rain in the desert often. Whenever we get a good rain, I end up with water on my floor. I had the windshield replaced. I asked the company if they were familiar with the 100 series. They told me it was easy, don't worry, they can handle it. Now I've called them for a 3rd time to fix this... I'm about ready to just pay someone else to do it correctly...

I noticed that I'm missing the filler for the side mouldings. I also know that there are no rivets and there are screws there. I have ordered the fillers and the glass company has ordered the rivets. Hopefully the combo of those will stop the water!

Rivets have been installed on the windshield mouldings! I forgot the new rubber fillers at work. So those will get put in later.

I ordered some cable chain link for the fridge wires. I'm trying to keep the wires from falling down into the drawers, whenever I use the slide. The one I ordered wasn't quite long enough. But it looks like it might work. Ordered a 2nd one and will clip them together.

Got a check engine light... fired up the truck on a chilly morning and she kinda putted for a bit and shut down. Started her back up and she sounds good. Decided I was done chasing parts stores to get codes read. So I bought the Scan Gauge II. Ran the codes and it came up as a bad coil. Cleared the codes. Truck runs fine. I'm sure it was just a hiccup when trying to start in the cold that morning. Couple pictures of some recent off road trips.
