I have been inspired by other mud members work, just wanted to share mine from the beginning. The last owner was Amir. I bought this in boxes.

Rad. Plans?

Thanks for the interest! Terry said Rick Donnelly had this in az before he got his hands on it. Does Rick or anyone know where it came from before that? The body is at the soda blaster now. It was left exposed to the elements before I got it, so we needs to start over. I blasted the rear gate after removing the skin. Here is a pic of the bottom of the gate repair I made tonight. The plan is to take fj60 axles from my parts truck and a split case. Mate it to a new or near New ls with a 6l80 auto. I am in need of some door bushings, matt has not replied to my request... Ideas? I haven't opened them up, but I am assuming I need pins? Source anyone, thanks. They are all blasted and primed. Does anyone know much about the hurricane ac system, I see the tlc ward install, not much detail. Also, does anyone make good ls mounts specific to this frame?? Thanks

Mountain cruiser (Tony), had it in AZ. That's who I bought it from. It basically sat at his place and then sat at my place, total of ~4-5 years of dormancy. Glad you got it started Garrett.

The Hurricane is what I am using in my LPB. Not in there yet, but all the pieces are at Valley Hybrids. The plan is to sacrifice the Pocket so we can stuff it up high behind the dash. If you need more details as to which unit, I can dig out the paperwork from my giant stack.

I am also running 60 series axles SOA by FC Fabs, and can share info on that setup if you like.

Steve, thanks for the reply. I would love to have the hurricane model that you are using, and any console info on the center distribution center. I like what tlc did with theirs. I am going to be sua with the springs Amir gave me. Alcan plus 3" or 4 I can't remember. I want to shackle reverse and run 33 9.5 bfg at on stock wheels. Thanks
Any door bushing source would be greAt

Steve, thanks, can't wait to some pictures of the installation- garrett

Just replaced wheel bearings, seals pinion seal. Blasted the backing plates, wire wheeled the housing, replaced all brake parts. I fabbed a new tailgate skin with my baleigh combo break. Blasted the tailgat and beat it straight.

I am ready for some tips! The 60 rear is 2" wider. Don't have the body here. Is this going to be a problem with 33x10.5 on stock 15 wheels? Also, looks like I have fj55 springs from alcan with a 4" lift roughly. Should I move the shackle hangers in. Spring perches are still centered. Should offset to the rear? Thanks

That setup works in a 40 but not in an LV if the fenders haven't been trimmed.
I'm running OME 40 series rear shackles in the front , extended FJ60 shackles in the rear, OME lifted heavy duty springs, 40 series axles, and 33x10.5 on stock 40/55 rims. There is no way a 60 series axle with 33's would work under there without some trimming or body lift.

I cut up my replacement tailgate panel and began welding the license plate panel back in. Looks like I found some 1979 axles in Pittsburg. I plan to use both housings and go with the wheel vintiques 16x7 with 4"bs from summit. I think I can fit them with some 255's and achieve the height without picking up hardly any width. Should fit without trimming. Still looking for door bushings. Mr. Matt must not have any, he has not responded, and did not list his source on his build thread. Any help?

I had wondered where this one had gotten too. After months of lurking over the classified thread not bumping it to attention I must have contacted Amir just a week or so after you picked it up. Cool project and it looks like it is in good hands. Will be watching the magic unfold. Congrats and best of luck!

Garrett,
I hope you, family and friends make it through the storm ok, 6 ft expected by the weekend? Crazy!
