Anybody deer hunt with one of these?
Howya like it?
Which "deer" are you hunting? Blacktail, Muley, or Whitetail?
If the BAR is caliber 7mm Remington magnum, I'd say it is a bit "over-kill" for deer, unless you are shooting them at 500 yards or so!
Now, the regular 7X57mm is a nice cartridge, and would be an excellant choice for deer.
my ex used to hunt deer with a 7mm (actually, he probably still does, i just don't care anymore ) and loved it. i loaned my bar270 to a friend to hunt last year and he liked it. combine the two and you have a bar 7mm
I love my Tikka 7mm-08...
I hunt with a BAR 7mm, and sometimes a BAR 270 both Safari grades only complaint is its heavy, but not much reqoil with the BAR.
Its funny though the gun I keep coming back to is my trusty Modle 99 Savage in 308. I love that gun.
