broken drag link?

I have broken my drag link to a 74 fj 40. I am having a very hard time finding the actual part. As it currently sits in my friends garage are there any tips on reinstallation,
when I find the part.

broken, not bent???

just screw new ends in just as far as old ends were if your steering was good.
