A good friend of mine has snapped his LH CV, his cruiser is still sitting just outside the 4x4 park where he did it.

Anyway, a long shot question.

Will a 78mod 45 series CV fit an 88mod 75 series?
i beleive it wont but a secon opinion is always helpfull.

It also runs stock/factory diff locks, cable oppereated.
will a CV from a non 75 factory diff lock fit?

cheers all

Call Roodogs, they have replacement parts.

If I can understand your rather cryptic explanations: you are asking if a 1978 45 series Birfield will fit a 1988 75 series? The answer is "maybe."

The 1978 45 series used a longer fine splined CV and the 1988 75 used a shorter fine splined CV. They are "sort of" inter-changeable, being that the early locking hub body was a little longer to accommodate the longer CV.

The diff lock does not make a difference, that has to do with the axle shaft and not the CV.
