I did not get the message about the knock sensor's tendency to break off in doing my hose replacement job. I recall unplugging it successfully, not breaking it but it is broken....

I could really use some tips on getting the old sensor end out. Th tab on the harness end does not move when I press it. I have pressed it as a I can and pulled the broken end to no avail. I do not want to do more damage....

As always, help is appreciated.

Use a pick to trigger the release while pulling the other end out
 
Worse case cut it and splice on new pigtail
 
Where does the pick go? Around back by my fingers or in the blackish slot at the front?

Thanks, I got it. I was terrified of breaking the harness end.
