I checked under the hood tonight as i do atleast once every week on each car, and notcied the a/c belt was shreaded, not sure when this happened, but cut it loose to make sure it doesnt tear something else up, guess its time for the new belts i was planning for this spring along with some new hoses. one quick question, any problems running without the belt other than no a/c?

belt

I can't think of a reason you should'nt be able to. I would check your AC compressor to make sure you don't have a siezed pulley that caused it to shred in the first place.

the belts were starting to look a little dried out, i may get better gas mileage

im thinking of replacing all the belts, the water pump seal and hoses, the tensioner pulley, and a good flush of the cooling system while this is all apart. anything else while im that far in?
