my 55 is out of a field rather than me wasting time rebuilding them or doing the wrong swap can someone tell what is the best way to go so i can do things right the first time and not have to want discs later, its a 1970

The first thing I did was a disc front. Best mod I ever did. Got all the parts from an 85' toyota pickup. Master and everything from knuckles out. There is a great writeup on how to do this on here by gumbie...

do you have a single circut brake system? or one with a booster and dual circut?
early 1970 had single, it's do-able and advisable to go dual circut, just more work.

it has a brake booster
