Brake Wheel Cylinders Front on Back?

I have a question. Can I install my almost new front brake wheel cylinders on the rear?

I'm talking about my 71 FJ40. I installed a 79 front disc axle a few years ago, but had already installed new wheel cylinders on the old front axle. Now my rears are leaking. So I was thinking to install the almost new front wheel cylindrs on the rear. Will I have any issues to over come?

Fronts are not double-acting like the rears are...
I would not do it, but that is just me.
