I s there a slightly easy swap for front disks on the front of an 83 mini. If not is there something for the rear to get rid of the drums for some disks.

http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/ sells the brackets to use Monte Carlo calipers. There's plenty of writeups on pirate.

You can swap the front solid discs on an 83 to vented cruiser rotors and V6 calipers. Trail Gear, Marlin and others sell the stuff.
