68 FJ40 new 4 wheel disk brake, running new lines......Has anyone with a 4 inch lift run new brake lines across front axle instead of reaching the other side via the firewall or front frame mount??? Just as the rear hard line is run across rear axle! Can this be done???

Thank you,

Ben

A single flex line from the left side frame rail to the top of the axle? Sure, why not? As long as the flex line is long enough to allow full articulation.

Thank you, I’ve just never seen it done. They all seem to go around, thought I was missing something.

The brake fluid doesn't care. But dropping down to the top of the third member on the right side of the front axle does shorten the length of the flex line. By a little bit. ;)
