Brake lights of the LX470 stay on.

Is this a commun issue?

Looked for the regular pedal contact switch, but seems not to work like that or am I wrong?

Can something else have failed?

Brake light on is a warning, that must be dealt with.

A few thoughts:
Low pressure. (leak, booster motor or pump, accumulator, master, caliper. etc.)
Low brake fluid. (read topping instructions embossed on reservoir)
ABS failure.
Speed sensor short.
Cut wire.
Short in junction box. (water entry in to foot well or failure)
E. brake indicator switch.
E.brake not released.

@2001LC thanks for your input, sorry I phrased it wrong, what I meant to say was that the rear brake lights left and right keep burning at all time

OH...Now that I read it in that "light"! ...LOL

Have or can you hooked up to tech stream and looked for any pending codes.

Notes:
Water entry around windshield down "A" pillar into cowl side junction box LH, can short J/B.
Any mods to wiring or lights are suspect.
