Quick help: where can I find the brake light switch on a 87 FJ60? Inside cab by the pedal somewheres'? Any pro advice to check or replace or mess with?

I have an earlier thread on psgr side brake light problem. Most folks think it's a bad ground but im reading it could be a switch. The smaller outside light on same side is also out, even when I put in a working bulb (from driver side).
