Before I dig in and since I just found this out tonight when my wife followed me home, I thought I would ask the powers that be on ih8mud...

I got a brake light out... drivers side. When I turn on the headlights, it works just fine but when I use the brakes... no go. When the headlights are off... no go. The other brake light works just fine. I am sure it's pretty easy, but any thoughts before I dig in? Fuses, bulbs, etc?

TIA

did not know if they were bulbs or units since it still lights, but only when headlights are on...

The headlight on/off part is wierd, makes me wonder if you have a ground issue...but, since bulbs are cheap and easy to replace, that's what I'd do first. If it cures the problem, then no worries. If you still have the problem...then post back up.

one light is marker light(headlight)

one is brake light

never pulled mine apart so I couldn't tell you if its a duel filament bulb or two different bulbs

dual filament bulbs are very common, but like you said, I have yet to pull the bulbs on my 60 to find out. They still work!!!

We have had the 60 for 3 years now and not changed one bulb. We have had our ford expedition for 1 year and have changed 3 bulbs under warranty. :flipoff2: Ford
