Hi folks, I recently bought this '02 and the PO said he had the brake lines replaced not too long ago. One of the hardlines that goes to the LR wheel is leaking from what appears to be a compression fitting right below the coils on the passenger side of the engine bay. The compression fitting is like 4" from the factory tee at the bottom of the coil. In all my reading on here and on other sites, compression fittings are not recommended and are prone to fail but I can't imagine any decent mechanic would splice and put a compression fitting that close to the factory tee instead of flaring and replacing the entire line. It's the same situation on all the other wheels. My question is, is this how it's done from the factory? Do I need to replace all the brake lines again? Is there an easier way?
TIA and sorry if I missed a forum on this, I didn't find one in my searching.
