I just bought some new wheels for my 68' 40 and was wondering why the brake drums have retaining screws (2)??? they stick out about a 1/4" and throw the wheel off a little. I'm going to chuck them. Does anybody have a reason why I shouldn't get rid of them??
thanks.

Nope, chunk and continue. It's an assembly thing.

good enough for me! thanks.

I chucked mine.

When I first put on my after market wheels, I took her for a test drive and my rear wheels were wobbling like crazy. I took out the screws and everything is fine.
