Gents,

Put on some new front rotors and pads on the new-to-me 2011 LX. Does anyone have a pic of which bolt(s) are the guide pins that would need re-greasing?

I took out all four of the bolts on the caliper looking for the pins. The caliper came apart and brake fluid started seeping out... Luckily I had enough new brake fluid for a full system flush afterwards.

Thanks!

None.

The 200-series uses fixed calipers in front. It doesn't use a floating caliper which would have slide pins as you're referring to.

Not to be confused as there's two retention pins that hold the brake pads in which don't need to be greased.

This video has pretty good animation which should help understanding the distinction between fixed and floating calipers.

Thanks! Learned something new and gained further appreciation for the 200 series.
